3 Day First Aid (3 Day) Level 6 Scotland SCQF / Level 3 England RQF

SQA and Ofqual Accredited course, regulated by First Aid Awards - successful students will be issued an FAW certificate which lasts for 3 years. Course covers all aspects of basic life support including CPR and AED, (defibrillator), bleeding, unconsciousness, choking, head injuries, sprains and strains and a varied range of First Aid conditions that you may experience in the workplace. Course facilitators have a vast range of experience in this subject providing the very best in quality training including practical demonstrations.

Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day) – Level 6 Scotland SCQF / Level 3 England RQF

SQA and Ofqual Accredited course comprising of minimum 6 hours practical & theoretical training covering: Responsibilities, reporting, assessments, CPR & AED, (defibrillator), angina, heart attacks, choking, bleeding, shock, seizures, minor injuries and dealing with an unresponsive casualty. This course is regulated by First Aid Awards, FAA and lasts 3 years before refresh. FAW Re-Qualification Level 6 Scotland SCQF / Level 3 England RQF (2 Day)

SQA and Ofqual Accredited course – this is a First Aid at Work refresher course for those currently qualified as a First Aider (FAW) and wish to continue as an approved first aider for another 3 years. CATASTROPIC BLEEDING CONTROL LEVEL 5 AWARD SCOTLAND SCQF / LEVEL 2 AWARD ENGLAND QCF

The aim of the regulated and accredited course is to provide learners with a comprehensive overview of how to manage catastrophic bleeding in a safe manner. The course will demonstrate the proper use and placement of tourniquets, how to effectively apply a haemostatic dressing and wound packing.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid - Level 6 Award Scotland SCQF/ Level 3 Award England RQF

This Emergency Paediatric First Aid (Level 3 RQF / Level 6 SCQF Scotland) fully regulated and accredited qualification is designed for learners with a responsibility for the care of children and babies and provides knowledge and skills to deal with a range of paediatric first aid conditions and incidents. This course meets the current HSE Guidelines (October 2017).

Paediatric First Aid - Level 6 Award Scotland SCQF/ Level 3 Award England RQF

Accredited and fully regulated course comprising 12 hours guided learning over two days in classroom plus some pre course study. The qualification is designed for learners with a responsibility of care of children and babies on a professional level. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. This course is Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage approved and also meets the current HSE Guidelines, (October 2017).

Basic Life Support

This course is designed to provide the learner with basic first aid skills and is suitable for a variety of different individuals from Healthcare professionals, to school staff, dentistry professionals, parents, first aiders, sporting organisations to name only a few. The course includes CPR skills, recovery position, bleeding, choking and shock.

The course takes place over 3 hours and will teach the theoretical knowledge and relevant practical skills, which are assessed by our fully qualified tutors throughout the session.

The course will provide staff with the information to confidently respond to minor accidents and incidents within the workplace.

The Basic Life Support course can be completed in your workplace and is suitable for both novices or those looking to refresher their basic first aid skills.

This basic life support training course meets all the requirements to fully sign off standard 12 of the care certificate

Paediatric First Aid Introduction

Certificated course comprising of 4 hours guided learning in classroom. The certificate is designed for parents, mother and toddler groups and carers providing a basic knowledge through practical assessment and hands on demonstration of a range of paediatric first aid situation giving the skills that could be useful in saving a child’s life.
